Free-standing electric fencing is used to enclose areas to protect property and/or human life, this type of fencing is usually installed between 1,8m and 2,4m high with wire spacing of 100mm apart.

Live wires are connected in a constant loop to create a monitored fence section.

Energizers are connected to the fence which creates a high voltage circuit of up to 10,000V and ranging between 4–8 Joule.
